CHOIRS

Course Codes: FAC122, FAC132, FAC142

Chorale is the Varsity Mixed Choir consisting of juniors and seniors that meets 3rd period on A-Day.

Chorale performs at Fall, Winter and Spring Concerts.  In addition, Chorale performs at Cluster Concert

and Graduation each year.  Chorale participates in UIL Concert/Sightreading contest as a Mixed choir, Varsity

Women Choir and Varsity Men Choir.  Chorale has performed at the TMEA Convention (1995 and 2008),

the National ACDA Convention (1997), Washington's National Cathedral (2010), Lincoln Center (2012),

Carnegie Hall (2006 and 2016), and London’s Cadogan Hall/Southwark Cathedral (2019). Students in Chorale may audition for All State Choir, Varsity Show Choir,

Solo/Ensemble Contest and the annual Spring Musical presented in May.

Chamber Singers is a small select mixed choir consisting of juniors and seniors that meets 9th period on B-Day. Students who are chosen for Chamber Singers are automatically in Chorale. (double blocked) 

Chamber Singers perform at Fall, Winter and Spring Concerts.  Chamber sings the National Anthem for

Homecoming football game, Senior Night football game, Senior Awards Ceremony and accepts many performance invitations

throughout the year.  Chamber has performed at TMEA Conventions (2005, 2016) and National ACDA

Conventions (2005, 2013).

Choraliers is a non-varsity mixed choir consisting of 10th, 11th, and 12th graders that meets 7th period on B-Day.

Choraliers performs at Fall, Winter and Spring Concerts.  Choraliers participates in UIL Concert/Sightreading Contest as a NV Mixed Choir, NV Treble Choir, and Varsity Men Choir.

Students in Choraliers may audition for All State Choir, 9/10 Honor Choir, JV Show Choir, Solo/Ensemble Contest and the annual Spring Musical presented in May.

Cantare is the most advanced 9th grade mixed choir that meets 2nd period on A-Day.

Cantare performs at Fall, Winter and Spring Concerts. Cantare participates in UIL Concert/Sightreading Contest as a Sub-Non-Varsity Mixed Choir and Sub-Non-Varsity Treble Choir.  The boys are given the opportunity to audition for Varsity Men Choir. 

Students in Cantare may audition for All-State Choir, 9/10 Honor Choir, JV Show Choir and participate in Solo/Ensemble Contest.
